The Ladakh administration on Friday organised the Investiture Ceremony of the State Awards, conferring the UT’s highest honour to 22 individuals and four departments and organisations.
The awards were instituted in the year 2021 to acknowledge and honour the outstanding achievements of individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions in their respective fields and brought recognition to Ladakh.
On Friday, Lieutenant Governor presented the awardees classified into seven categories–Bravery, Literature, Art and Craft, Social Reforms Empowerment & Environment Protection, Public Service, Sports, Entrepreneurship, Progressive Farming, and Teaching & Academics—with a gold medal, a cash award of Rs 51,000, and a citation, each.
