Leh A group of specially-abled children from Ladakh called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan as part of a National Integration Tour, offering the young participants a unique opportunity to visit the country’s highest constitutional residence and interact with the Head of State.
The visit was organised under a national integration initiative that seeks to expose children from remote regions to India’s cultural, institutional and historical landmarks.
During their visit, the children learned about the heritage and functioning of Rashtrapati Bhavan and the constitutional role of the President.
Officials said the interaction served as a source of motivation and encouragement for the children, many of whom were visiting New Delhi for the first time.
The tour aims to build confidence, widen exposure and foster a sense of national belonging among youth from far-flung areas.
Accompanying teachers described the experience as memorable, saying such visits inspire children to dream bigger and feel more connected to the national mainstream.
