Kargil, February 26: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, on Wednesday chaired a meeting with representatives of various political parties to review preparations for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll.
The meeting was attended by the District President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), representatives of the Indian National Congress (INC), Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Kargil.
During the meeting, the ADC briefed the representatives about the SIR schedule and procedural guidelines to be followed during the revision exercise. Political parties were urged to submit the lists of their Booth Level Agents (BLAs) at the earliest to ensure smooth coordination and effective monitoring.
Imteeaz Kacho also encouraged stakeholders to download and use the ECI NET App for real-time updates and better oversight of the revision process.
Emphasising the importance of maintaining the accuracy and purity of the Electoral Roll, the ADC said that every effort must be made to ensure that no eligible voter is left out and no ineligible name is included. He called for active cooperation from all political parties to make the revision exercise transparent, inclusive and error-free.
