Leh, April 20:
An informative Orientation and Outreach Programme on Sindhu Central University was successfully held at Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and academic stakeholders.
The visiting SCU delegation was led by Dr. B. Chandrasekhar. The programme began with a traditional welcome, as the Principal of EJM College honored the guest with a ceremonial Khatak, showcasing Ladakh’s cultural heritage.
Delivering the welcome address, Dr. Mohd Taqi emphasized the importance of such outreach initiatives in helping students make informed academic and career decisions.
In his keynote address, Dr. Chandrasekhar presented a detailed overview of SCU, highlighting its vision, academic structure, and future roadmap. He also shared key information about the upcoming 2026–27 admission session, including programmes like M.Sc., M.A., M.Tech., and various certificate courses, offering students a glimpse into emerging higher education opportunities in Ladakh.
The session featured an interactive segment where students actively engaged with the SCU team, seeking clarity on courses, eligibility, and career prospects. The interaction proved highly insightful and beneficial.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Tsering Norphel, who appreciated the visiting team, faculty, and students for their participation.
