Leh: On the Day 2 of Nubra tour, CEC Leh Tashi Gyalson held public meetings with locals at Charasa, Kuri & Murgi villages. While speaking, the CEC lays stress on the completion of Shatsey-Taknak bridge at the earliest.

During the meeting, the locals put forward more demands which include construction of irrigation khuls, protection bund over Siachen river, permanent road over Shukshang nallah.

CEC after hearing the grievances issued instructions to the officers of concerned department to ensure that the works are completed timely. He also assured to send a technical team to assess the cause for collapse of the bridge once the water level recedes.
