Several delegations call on LG Mishra

Leh: A delegation from Ladakh Seabuckthorn Association led by its President, Ashraf Ali Barcha called on Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) at Raj Niwas.

Barcha apprised the LG about the production of Seabuckthorn in Ladakh and informed about the issues and challenges in production of Seabuckthorn. He requested LG’s intervention to boost the Seabuckthorn in the region.

The LG assured Barcha to examine the matter and necessary steps will be taken to boost the Seabuckthorn in the region.

A delegation comprising of President, Ladakh Rigjung Charitable Foundation, Yangchan Dolma and Principal, Ladakh Rigjung Public School, Leh, Stanzin Ethok called on LG at Raj Niwas.

Ethok apprised the LG about the Ladakh Rigjung Public School, which is formed in 1995 and informed that 80% of students were studying free of cost. She Informed the LG that the school has two branches in Kargil and requested the LG for allotment of land for expansion of the schools in Kargil and construction of hostels for the school.

The LG instructed them to meet and discuss the matters with Member of Parliament, Ladakh. Dr Padma Disket, Senior Consultant Surgeon called on LG at Raj Niwas.

Dr Disket apprised LG about her visit to United State of America for training in medical science and requested LG’s intervention for grant of visa of USA for the purpose of the visit. The LG assured Dr Disket to possible support for her purpose of visit to USA.

Tundup Dorjey, a resident of Spituk called on LG at Raj Niwas. Dorjey requested LG for allotment of land to construct a house. The LG instructed Shri Dorjey to meet Deputy Commissioner, Leh in this regard.
