
Sessions Judge Leh Yashpal Sharma calls on LG BD Mishra
Leh: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) met Principal District & Sessions Judge, Leh, Yashpal Sharma, at Raj Niwas.
Lieutenant Governor, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) inquired about the pendency of cases at the District Court in Leh and steps being taken to reduce the pendency of cases.
Yashpal informed that legal awareness activities such as Lok Adalat camps are being organised to bring down the number of pending cases.
He also informed that the number of litigations in Leh and Kargil is less than other parts of the country.
He further informed that most of the cases heard at the District Court comprise matrimonial and commercial disputes.
Yashpal informed about the usage of video conferencing to dispose of as many cases as possible.
Lieutenant Governor, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) instructed to make efforts to bring the pendency of cases to zero.
