Kargil: Secretary Power and New and Renewable Energy (N&RE) Ravinder Kumar Dangi took a review of different Central Sponsored Schemes of the Power Development Department (PDD).

Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Chief Engineer Distribution/Generation Er. G.A. Mir, Exen Nitin Kumar, RECPDCL, Er PC, Tgenaiel, Er Chander Babu, Manager Data Projects, Er Gruvinder, Manager LSD, Er Ramu Kumar, Deputy Manager RS Infrastructure Projects along with other officers of power development department, officers/officials of PIA/PMA i,e RECPDCL/PGCIL were also present during the meeting.

During the meeting, all centrally sponsored schemes like Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), Prime Ministers Development Package (PMDP) Rural/Urban, Additional PMDP Urban/Rural and Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) were thoroughly discussed.

The secretary power interacted with all stakeholders to work in tandem and ensure that all the works under Centrally Sponsored Schemes be completed in all respects without any deviation within schedule dates.

The Secretary stressed that the work under CSS should be completed before the end of this working season. He directed PDD to complete pending works in the current working season.

In the meeting, Exen Kumar, briefed the Secretary in presence of DC Kargil about the existing scenario of power sector in UT Ladakh and the financial and physical progress of various projects under different schemes of the central government like PMDP etc. Kumar also briefed about the major upcoming renewable energy projects of PDD in Ladakh. A brief presentation was also made regarding the same.

During the meeting, officials of concerned departments raised issues of land and transmission line on private land and requested for support. The Secretary and DC Kargil assured every possible help.
