Zanskar, December 09, 2025: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zanskar, Omkar Rajendra Gundage (IAS), held a meeting with Lambardars at the Tourist Dak Bungalow, Padum, to assess winter preparedness and review village-level concerns across the subdivision.
Lambardars from various villages highlighted issues related to essential services, local infrastructure, and winter logistics. The SDM gave a patient hearing to all submissions and directed concerned officers to address the raised issues at the earliest within their respective jurisdictions.
He further assured that pending matters requiring higher intervention would be taken up with senior authorities and resolved in a time-bound manner.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Engineer R&B Zanskar, Executive Engineer PHE Zanskar, Block Development Officer Zanskar, Naib Tehsildar Zanskar, the President of the Lambardar Association, and Lambardars from different villages.
