Kargil: Around 2,000 national and international athletes participated in the Kargil International Marathon organised at Khree Sultan Choo Sports Stadium of Kargil district this morning.
Advisor to LG Ladakh, Umang Narula flags off 10 KM race Men & Women category, in presence of CEC LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Founder Sarhad Pune Sanjay Nahar, Abhay Chhajad and Kargil Gaurav Awardees.
Secretary Youth Services & Sports UT Ladakh Ravinder Kumar in presence of SSP Kargil also flagged off Half Marathon 21 km for both Men and women.
Chief of Army Staff participated in KIM-22 virtually and sent a special message to the participants which was shown during flag off ceremony. His rep. Col. KK Venkat Rammana flags off 42 KM race in presence of DC Kargil, Family of Martyrs Fatah Mohd & Zulfiqar Ali & Kargil Gaurav Awardee here at Khree Sultan Choo Sports Stadium Kargil.

Participants including men, women and kids chant the slogan “Run for Apricot” while running during Kargil International Marathon.
The officials also felicitated the runners 5KM and 10KM under different age group of Kargil International Marathon.
