Sanghasena played prominent role as member of official delegation to Thailand

LEH: Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, Founder President of MIMC, played a prominent role as a member of the official delegation to Thailand, under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Their mission was to accompany the revered Holy Relics of Lord Buddha and his esteemed disciples, Arahant Sariputta and Arahant Mogallana, back to New Delhi, India.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by His Excellency the Governor of Krabi, Somchai Harnpakdeepatima, and other dignitaries from the Indian High Commission, Thailand, including Indian Ambassador Nagesh Singh. Alongside Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena, the delegation comprised officials such as Adv. Tashi Gyalson, Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Mugdha Sinha; DG, National Museum, MoC, Dr. B.R. Mani; Secretary General, IBC, Shartse Khensur Ven. Jangchup Choeden; and representatives from the Ministry of Culture, International Buddhist Federation (IBC), and the National Museum, India. The delegation returned with the relics on March 19th, 2024.
