Leh/ Bengaluru: Bhikkhu Sanghasena delivered a deeply inspiring Dhamma talk at the Mahabodhi Society of Bengaluru during his ongoing visit to the city.
The spiritual gathering commenced with a traditional Puja and chanting session, led by Bhikkhu Sanghasena himself.
He then guided the devotees in taking the Three Refuges and the Five Precepts— a significant step on the Buddhist path — followed by a peaceful and reflective guided meditation.
In his Dhamma discourse, Bhikkhu Sanghasena expressed his joy and gratitude at being able to visit his spiritual birthplace once again.
He fondly recalled his close association with his revered teacher, the late Most Venerable Dr. Acharya Buddharakkhita, affectionately known as “Bada Bhanteji,” and emphasized the importance of cultivating compassion in everyday life.
Earlier in the day, Bhikkhu Sanghasena paid a heartfelt visit to the private kutir of Bada Bhanteji. With deep reverence, he offered his respects at the puja room of his teacher.
He also visited the sacred Bodhi Stupa and the Bodhi Tree on the premises, paying homage to these symbols of enlightenment and honoring the rich spiritual legacy of the Mahabodhi Society.
The visit was a deeply emotional and spiritually significant moment for Bhikkhu Sanghasena and the assembled devotees, reaffirming the enduring bond between him and the Mahabodhi Society Bengaluru— the place of his spiritual birth and early training.
