Kargil: Registrar, University of Ladakh, Prof. Ashok K. Sharma today visited Government Degree College (GDC) Drass, marking a significant step in strengthening the academic ties between the University and the college.
During the visit, various important developments took place, highlighting the commitment to education and collaboration.
Principal GDC Drass, Dr Amjad Ali Abassi welcomed the Registrar and provided insights into the college’s achievements, academic programs, and future goals.
An engaging presentation was delivered through a PowerPoint (PPT) that highlighted the college’s journey and its contributions to higher education.
One of the key highlights of the visit was the interaction with the President of the Student Union Council. The President had the opportunity to present a memorandum addressing pertinent student-related issues and proposals. This interaction underscored the collaborative efforts between the administration and the student body to enhance the college experience and address student needs effectively.
As a gesture of appreciation and gratitude, the Vice President of the Student Union Council extended vote of thanks to the Registrar for his visit and the support provided by the University.
The proceedings of the program were conducted by Sajad Hussain, Assistant Professor of Environmental Science. His expertise and guidance ensured a smooth and productive interaction between the college authorities, the Registrar, and the student representatives.
Prof. Ashok K. Sharma interacted with staff and assured for earliest resolution of the genuine issues of staff. He also appreciated the staff of the college for their devotion to the academic and overall development of the college.
