LEH: The Dy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk and DC/CEO LAHDC, Leh Santosh Sukhdeve inaugurated Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign as a part of nationwide drive to eradicate Polio disease.
Officials of Health Department, Leh headed by Chief Medical Officer, Leh were present during the occasion.
The officials administered Polio Drops to the infants at SNM Hospital, Leh and further flagged off mobile teams to different parts of Leh District to ensure a comprehensive coverage of the Pulse Polio Immunization drive.
Similarly, a number of Health Care Workers (HCWs) across the District are actively engaged in ensuring a door to door administration of Polio drops, overcoming challenging climatic conditions in the peak winter season.
