LEH: Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson chaired a meeting to discuss regarding the Solar Lift Irrigation Schemes in Leh District. Executive Councillor for Horticulture, Ghulam Mehdi was also present during the meeting.
Detailed discussions took place on the Solar lift irrigation system and the construction of new irrigation khuls.
For undertaking the above works, CEC Gyalson asked the concerned officers to list out the requirements for the Solarised water lifting system, construction of new irrigation khuls and the strengthening of existing irrigation khuls within the district.
He directed the concerned officers to prepare a constructive Detail Project Reports (DPR) for the early execution of the said projects.
CEC Gyalson expressed his gratitude to LG Ladakh, R.K Mathur for his support in assuring financial assistance for the projects in the interest of the people of Leh district.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Horticulture Officer, Leh; SE Hydraulic Division Leh; Xen I&FC Leh & Project Director, LREDA.
