
Pollution Control Committee seizes 50-kgs of banned Single-use Plastic
Leh: Ladakh Pollution Control Committee (LPCC), Leh in collaboration with the Municipal Committee Leh conducted a joint inspection on February 25th and seized about 50kgs of banned Single-use Plastics (SUP) items.
The violators were imposed fines and issued advisory to strictly implement the ban of Single Use Plastics.
Meanwhile, Office of the Assistant Director, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs warns the Shopkeepers to refrain from selling over-dated items failing which action, as warranted under rules, will be initiated against them.
The office has received certain complaints from the general public regarding the selling of over-dated items at Leh market and its surrounding areas.
