Uttar Pradesh Statehood Day celebrated with full fervour at Lok Niwas, Ladakh
Leh, January 24: Uttar Pradesh Statehood Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Lok Niwas, Ladakh, today.
On the occasion, the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, was the Chief Guest.
The Lieutenant Governor extended heartfelt congratulations to the people of Uttar Pradesh on their Statehood Day. He described Uttar Pradesh not merely as an important state, but as a symbol of India’s rich cultural, historical, and spiritual heritage. He highlighted the state’s unique identity reflected in its diverse culture, art, music, and literature, and noted that it has produced numerous great personalities, freedom fighters, and social reformers whose contributions continue to fill the nation with pride.
Shri Kavinder Gupta expressed special gratitude and respect to the soldiers, officers, and employees from Uttar Pradesh serving in Ladakh, stating that their dedication and hard work have strengthened national security and safeguarded the nation’s borders. He affirmed that their loyalty and service would always be remembered.
Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Lieutenant Governor referred to the collective efforts being made to realise the vision of ‘Shreshtha Bharat’ through continuous progress in education, health, science, and social development, emphasising the contribution of every state and citizen. He also acknowledged Uttar Pradesh’s leading role in this national journey.
Under Secretary Sachin Bali conducted the proceedings of the event.
Officials from the LG Secretariat and Lok Niwas, along with personnel from Uttar Pradesh serving in Ladakh, were present on the occasion.
