LEH: The Chairman / CEC Tashi Gyalson Tuesday convened a hybrid-meeting regarding photograph and product Exhibition of Pashmina and Wood Carving at All India Fine Arts and Craft Society (AIFACS) Gallery (IES), New Delhi.

Chairman, Centre for Himalayan Asia Studies and Engagement (CHASE) Vijay Kranti gave a detail overview regarding the objectives and the motive behind the exhibition and brain stormed ideas with the Chairman LAHDC Leh and the concerned officials regarding the required contents for the exhibitions.

While reviewing the plans, CEC Gyalson suggested that the series should be designed on a theme basis. He further directed the Chairman (CHASE) to identify and provide all necessary requirements ahead of the exhibitions.

He also suggested that the exhibition of Arts, Crafts and products from Ladakh should be an effort to promote Ladakhi arts and crafts which have been recently notified with GI Tags. He added that these platforms would definitely boost the local economy and help the locals to get enough marketing platforms in future.

The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor for Animal Husbandry, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; Executive Councillor for Handloom, Ghulam Mehdi; ACR Leh; AD Handicraft Leh and concerned officials.
