Deskit, Nubra, December 1, 2025:
MS Girls Deskit, Nubra, organised a vibrant Parents’ Day-cum-Community Mobilisation event today, drawing an enthusiastic gathering of parents, students, villagers, and local stakeholders. The programme was graced by ZEO Nubra, Ms. Sonam Dolkar, as the Chief Guest, while former Executive Councillor for Education, Mr. Tsering Angchuk, attended as the Guest of Honour.
The event saw participation from the Principal of HSS Deskit, ZEPO, Headmaster of MS Boys Deskit, and several dignitaries, along with residents from Deskit, Goba, and Ama Tsogspa.
In her address, Ms. Dolkar praised the school’s remarkable progress and the dedicated efforts of the Headmaster and staff. She highlighted the significant rise in the school’s enrolment, now at 80 students — the highest in the zone. Students also delivered impressive performances and presentations, earning appreciation from the audience.
The programme was efficiently organised under the leadership of Headmaster Ms. Tsewang Dolma, with strong support from teachers and SMC members. During the event, the school community honoured Mr. Angchuk for his valuable contributions to the institution’s growth and development.
