Leh, November 30, 2025:
The Leh Autonomous Hill Development Subordinate Services Recruitment Board (LAHD-SSRB) on Sunday conducted the Matric (10th Level) and 12th Level recruitment examinations across the district with strict security arrangements and an emphasis on transparency and fairness.
The Matric Level exam, held in the morning session across 20 centres, recorded an attendance of 8,141 out of 9,461 registered candidates. In the evening session, the 12th Level exam was conducted at five centres, where 2,668 candidates appeared out of 3,285 scheduled.
To ensure a secure process, sealed question paper boxes were dispatched from the Strong Room under the supervision of magistrates and police escorts. After completion of the exams, all materials — including OMR sheets — were returned to the Strong Room with the same level of security, where the room was resealed in the presence of officials and police personnel.
Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC Leh and Chairman LAHD-SSRB, Sh. Romil Singh Donk, IAS, along with Secretary Sh. Rehmatullah Butt (JKAS), visited several centres to review facilities such as CCTV coverage, seating arrangements, and compliance with prescribed guidelines. Both officers expressed satisfaction over the smooth and disciplined conduct of the examinations.
In line with the Board’s Standard Operating Procedures, a dedicated centre for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates was established at EGM College, Leh, equipped with necessary support facilities to ensure inclusivity and ease of access.
Nominated member Sh. Sonam Nurboo and flying squads led by ADC Leh Sh. Ghulam Mohd and ACR Leh Shabir Hussain also inspected examination venues to oversee the arrangements and ensure adherence to protocol.
With stringent security, coordinated oversight, and timely execution, the Board reaffirmed its commitment to conducting transparent, accountable, and credible recruitment examinations in Leh.
