Kargil: The Department of Geology, Government Degree College (GDC) Drass organized one-day geological field trip under the supervision of Dr. Shoib Maqbool, Head of Department and Assistant Professor.
He was accompanied by faculty member Tsering Lazes and Laboratory Assistant Hadi Aagha. Students of both the 6th and 4th semesters participated in this joint tour, making it a collaborative and enriching experience for all.
This educational trip would not have been possible without the unwavering support and encouragement of the worthy Principal, Dr. Amjad Ali Abassi.
The department extends its heartfelt gratitude to him for facilitating this valuable learning opportunity.
As part of the tour, students from GDC Drass had the opportunity to visit the well-equipped geology laboratory of the Department of Geology at GDC Kargil.
In addition, they explored geological sites in Sankoo and its surrounding areas, gaining firsthand exposure to the diverse geological features of the region.
The field trip proved to be both insightful and educational, enhancing students’ understanding of geological concepts through direct field experience.
