NPS employees hold general body meet in Kargil

KARGIL: A general body meeting was held by NPS employees at Bulbul Bagh Baroo under the chairmanship of President UT Ladakh Ahmad Hussain wherein hundreds of NPS employees attended the meeting.

General Secretary Salaud Din Lone welcomed the participants and briefed about NPS. UT President Ahmad Hussain stressed the NPS employees to participate in such programs. Various speakers expressed their views on NPS it’s drawbacks and restoration on OPS.

Nasurulla a retired employee of district Kargil who falls under this scheme also shared his views of receiving a meager amount of Rs 500 as pension as his salary before retirement was more that Rs 40,000.

During the whole process various issues related to NPS were discussed including the existing UT level committee will also act as the district level committee of Kargil district, various representatives of different blocks of district Kargil will elect block level committee in their respective blocks and convocation with respect to NPS will be held in near future. The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks by the chair.
