Leh: A cycling event themed ‘Healthy Women Healthy India’ was organised Sunday by NCD Cell Leh under the National Program for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke (NPCDCS) on March 5 at SNM Hospital Leh.
The rally was flagged off by Dr Motup Dorje, Director Health Services, UT Ladakh.
The aim was to promote physical and mental well-being and environment-friendly conveyance.
Students of Moravian Mission School and Islamia Public School took part in the cycle rally.
CMO Leh, Dr Nurzin Angmo; DTO, Dr Diskit Dolma; DIO, Dr Dolma Chuskit ; DHO/ Dist. Nodal Officer NCD,Dr Skarma Punchok; Doctors of SNM Hospital and staff of District NCD cell Leh were present. Besides, Presidents of LBA Women Wing, Anjuman Moin ul Islam, Anjuman Imamia and Vice President Women Alliance Leh were present on the occasion.
The rally started from SNM Hospital, Leh to ITBP Gate Choglamsar via Singay Namgyal Chowk and concluded at SNM Hospital Leh.
