Leh: The second day of the National Level Training Program for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) was held at the Conference Hall, DC Office Leh. The session emphasized the importance of house-to-house verification, addressing issues related to voters residing abroad, and resolving on-ground challenges encountered by BLOs during the electoral process.
Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Leh, Ghulam Mohammad, addressed the participants and urged them to ensure that no eligible voter is left out, especially those currently living overseas. He underlined the vital responsibility BLOs carry in ensuring a clean and inclusive electoral roll.
The training was conducted by resource persons Chozin Palmo, Kunzang Dolma, and Kunzes Angmo, who led interactive and practical sessions to help BLOs better understand their duties and field responsibilities.
Assistant Chief Electoral Officer, Deleks Namgyal, delivered the vote of thanks. He acknowledged the essential role of BLOs in strengthening the electoral system and encouraged them to carry out their duties with dedication and integrity. Certificates of participation were distributed to all attendees in recognition of their active involvement.
Approximately 50 BLOs from Leh Tehsil Part A attended the training session with enthusiasm. The program will continue in daily batches to ensure focused learning, peer interaction, and greater clarity among field-level staff.
