Kargil: From Monday, July 21st to Friday, July 25th, 2025, residents of Kargil and surrounding areas will have a valuable opportunity to access passport services locally, as the Mobile Passport Van will be stationed at the National Information Centre, VC Hall New Building, near the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kargil.
This initiative is part of the Passport Seva Project (PSP) under the Ministry of External Affairs, aimed at extending swift and transparent passport-related services to citizens, especially those in remote regions.
The Regional Passport Office Srinagar will operate the van, making it easier for residents of Kargil and nearby areas to apply for or renew their passports without the need to travel long distances.
Applicants must book an appointment online via the official website www.passportindia.gov.in. While booking, they should select ‘Passport Van’ as the service option and choose a convenient slot during the five-day schedule.
On the day of the appointment, applicants are required to report at the designated venue on time and approach the Mobile Passport Van Team, identified by Registration Number PB65BF1377, for assistance.
