Leh, November 11, 2025: As part of the ongoing “Mimangs-Si-Sjabstogs” — Administration at Your Doorstep — initiative, a public outreach camp was held today at Government High School, Chuchot Gongma.
The camp was led by Nodal Officer Ruth Mary (AD, FCS & CA, Leh), who welcomed villagers and outlined the objectives of the initiative aimed at ensuring direct citizen engagement and prompt service delivery.
A total of 26 officers and officials from various government departments participated, providing information on welfare schemes, listening to grievances, and addressing key local issues. Around 100 villagers from Chuchot Gongma and adjoining areas attended the camp.
Residents raised concerns related to Jal Jeevan Mission, irrigation, road improvement, land compensation, and electricity. On-the-spot services such as Aadhaar generation, e-KYC updates, Golden Card, ABHA Card, ration card updates, and job card renewals were provided.
Mr. Kifayat, Manager, CRISIL Foundation, briefed participants about the MoneyWise Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL) initiative, implemented with support from J&K Bank and SBI, under the aegis of the DEA Fund (RBI) and FIF NABARD. He also explained the benefits of PM Jan-Dhan Yojana, KCC loan KYC updates, and the process for claiming unclaimed deposits under the RBI’s DEA Fund.
Nodal Officer Ruth Mary assured that all grievances would be forwarded to the concerned departments and the District Magistrate, Leh, for timely action. She thanked the villagers for their participation and expressed confidence that such outreach camps will enhance public access to government welfare schemes.
The Mimangs-Si-Sjabstogs initiative will continue across all villages of District Leh over the next 15 days, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to transparent and people-centric governance.
