Leh, Dec 9: A public outreach camp under the “Mimang–Si–sJabstogs – Administration at Your Doorstep” initiative was held today at Saboo Thang Sing Sing, aiming to deliver government services and welfare schemes directly to residents. The camp was supervised by Nodal Officer Ms. Deachen Chondol, JKAS (OSD to Deputy Commissioner).
Officials from key departments—Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, PDD, RDD, PHED, ICDS, Labour, and Handicrafts—briefed locals on various central and UT-sponsored schemes, including farming support, livestock care, solar facilities, water supply, nutrition for women and children, labour benefits, and skill development programmes.
The Centre for Financial Literacy (CFL), supported by SBI Choglamsar, conducted awareness sessions on KYC updates, unclaimed deposits, and financial security schemes. The camp resulted in 25 successful financial linkages.
Residents participated in large numbers and raised issues related to infrastructure, public utilities, and welfare services. Nodal Officer Deachen Chondol assured that all genuine concerns would be forwarded to the relevant departments for timely redressal.
