Major Education Boost for Changthang: Ladakh Model School Inaugurated at Liktsey

Nyoma, August 5: In a significant boost to the education sector in Changthang, the newly established Government High School, Ladakh Model School, Liktsey was inaugurated by Administrative Secretary, School Education, UT Ladakh, Smt. Bhanu Prabha, IAS, on Tuesday.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Changthang, Nitish Rajora, IAS, H.E. Drupon Khamtak Rinpoche, Joint Director, School Education, Zakir Hussain, JKAS, and Chief Education Officer, Leh, Deldan Angmo, along with officials, teachers and local residents.

Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries described the establishment of the Ladakh Model School as a major step towards strengthening educational infrastructure and expanding access to quality education in the region. They expressed confidence that the institution would provide enhanced learning opportunities for students and contribute to the overall academic and socio-economic development of the local community.

The newly inaugurated school is expected to play a key role in improving educational outcomes and supporting the government’s efforts to strengthen the school education system across the Union Territory of Ladakh.
