Kargil: Little Green World, in collaboration with PM SHRI High School Thasgam, successfully organized a one-day Women’s Wellness Program for the girl students of the school.
The initiative aimed to spread awareness about menstrual health and hygiene, and to empower young girls with essential knowledge regarding their well-being.
The session was led by Tajamul Akhter, Programme Coordinator at Little Green World, who shared valuable insights on women’s wellness, emphasizing the importance of menstrual hygiene, self-care, and mental health.
As part of the program, sanitary pads were distributed among the girls, promoting access to basic menstrual health necessities and breaking stigmas around the topic.
Later, the Headmaster of PM SHRI High School, Akbar Ali, addressed the students and appreciated the initiative.
He stressed the importance of organizing such workshops and events in rural and remote areas to educate young girls and build a supportive environment for their growth and confidence.
The event was met with enthusiasm from students and staff alike and marked a meaningful step toward raising awareness about women’s wellness in the region.
