Kargil: The University of Ladakh has announced its 2nd Convocation Ceremony, scheduled to be held on 22nd September 2025 at Kargil. The event will be graced by Kavinder Gupta, Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh and Chancellor of the University, who will attend as the Chief Guest.
The convocation marks a significant milestone in the University’s academic journey, as it continues to expand higher education opportunities in the Union Territory.
During the ceremony, degrees and medals will be awarded to meritorious students from various postgraduate and undergraduate streams in recognition of their academic excellence.
Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ladakh, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “The Second Convocation reflects the University’s commitment to fostering knowledge, innovation, and research in this unique Himalayan region. We are honored to welcome the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor as the Chief Guest, whose vision and guidance have been instrumental in shaping the educational landscape of Ladakh, along with other distinguished guests.”
Since its establishment in 2019 as the first university in the Union Territory, the University of Ladakh has achieved significant progress in academics, research, and infrastructure.
The convocation will celebrate the accomplishments of students, faculty, and the institution, while reinforcing the University’s mission to contribute to the sustainable development of Ladakh.
The ceremony will be attended by dignitaries from academic, administrative, and civil society circles, making it one of the most important events in the region’s educational calendar.
