LG Mishra visits old DRDA building, new District Court Complex Leh

Leh: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) visited the old District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) building at Rural Development Department (RDD) complex, Leh.

The LG also visited the new District Court Complex at Melong Thang, Leh to inspect the ongoing work of the construction of the Guest House of the District Court.

The LG instructed Chief Engineer, PWD, Ladakh Shri Tashi Chombel to expedite the ongoing works on a fast tract basis and prepare the Mediation Court Building for the opening of the Circuit Bench of J&K and Ladakh High Court to be inaugurated on 31st October 2023.

Chief Engineer, PWD, Ladakh Chombel informed the LG about the progress of the ongoing work of the guest house of the district court. He assured that the remaining work on the Mediation Court Building would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

Advisor to LG, Dr Pawan Kotwal, IAS; Secretary, Law, Ladakh, Fayaz Ahmad Shiekh; Principal District & Session Judge, Leh, Yash Pal Sharma, Director, Rural Development Department, Ladakh, Tahir Hussain Zubdavi; Chief Engineer, PWD, Ladakh, Tashi Chombel besides other concerned officers were present during the LG’s visit.
