LG Mishra launches Maiden College Magazine of GDC Drass

Leh: Lieutenant Governor Ladakh Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) launches Maiden College Magazine of Govt. Degree College, Drass the previous day at Raj Niwas Leh.

 

The maiden Annual magazine of Govt. Degree College Drass titled “Himbabs” was launched today by Hon’ble Lt. Governor Ladakh (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.). The magazine was launched in the presence of CEC LAHDC Kargil Shri. Feroz Ahmed Khan, CEC LAHDC Leh Shri. Tashi Gyalson, Advisor to Hon’ble Lt. Governor Ladakh, Sh. Umang Narula, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary Higher Education department, Ms. Padma Angmo, IIS, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Mehta, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Prof. (Dr.) Ravindra Kumar Sinha, former vice chancellor, University of Kashmir, Prof. Talat Ahmad, Director Finance Ladakh, Dr. Safdar Ali, Registrar, University of Ladakh, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok K. Sharma, Controller of Examination,  University of Ladakh, Prof. Deskyong Namgyal, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Ladakh, Prof. Tashi Ldawa, Rector Kargil campus, University of Ladakh, Madam Kaneez Fatima, Director Colleges and Principal Govt. Degree College Kargil, GDC Khaltse, GDC Nobra, EJMC Leh, Dean students welfare, University of Ladakh among others. 

 

The magazine features a wide range of captivating content, including thought-provoking articles, creative artwork, informative essays of the college students apart from highlighting the achievements of the college. 

The launch of College magazine marks an important milestone for GDC Drass as it represents a culmination of the hard work and dedication of the students and faculty who have come together to create a platform that captures the essence of the vibrant college community.

 

“We are thrilled to introduce the maiden college magazine which represents the incredible talent and creativity that thrives within our college community,” said Principal GDC Drass Dr. Amjad Ali Abassi. 

 

Copies of the magazine will be available in all College and public libraries of Ladakh shortly.
