The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), and the First Lady, Neelam Mishra, attended the Apricot Blossom Festival organised by the Department of Tourism.
Stating that he is happy to see such an amazing event at a far-off place like Takmachik, the LG appreciated the officials and villagers for making the event possible.
Further stating that ‘there is no limit to good work,’ he instructed the organisers to make efforts to make the event better with each passing year. He also advised the Ladakhi youth to participate and take the tradition forward.
Stating that water is essential for life, the LG informed about the demands from people of villages from different parts of Ladakh about the need to overcome the scarcity of water for drinking and irrigational purposes.
