Leh: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives caused by a cloudburst and subsequent landslide in Kathua district.

In his condolence message, the LG extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured. He also prayed for the safety of residents in the affected areas.
Gupta said the incident is a stark reminder of the growing vulnerability of hilly regions to extreme weather events, underscoring the urgent need for coordinated disaster preparedness and response measures.
