
Leh Police recovers unidentified dead body from Phyang
LEH: District Police Leh has recovered a male dead body of a person aged about 25-30 years from Phyang, Leh near HIAL.
Since the body needs to be disposed off soon, any person(s) having any claim over the said body may submit the same to the Office of the District Magistrate, Leh within seven days from the issuance, the police said.
The body is presently lying in the mortuary of SNM Hospital, Leh on the request of SHO, Leh vide letter No: PSL/5-A/2023-1275 dated 06/05/2023.
Leh police said that any claim or objection received after the lapse of the stipulated time period shall not be entertained and the body will be disposed off under rule.
This is the second unidentified dead body in two months recovered by the district police. In third week of April this year, District Police Leh had recovered a male dead body of an unidentified person aged about 40-50 years from Gangles village Leh.
