Leh Police conducts events for students under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Khaltsi: In continuation to the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in line with nations unity and integrity, Police Station Khaltsi organised a Police Station visit of all the students and teachers of Government Higher Secondary School Temisgam.

During the events, they (students) were sensitised to the method of reporting crimes, created awareness of traffic rule, drug menace, cybercrime etc. They were taken around police station, Lockup and chambers of SHO and MHC.

The utility of CCTNS network and wireless networks systems were demonstrated and later SHO Police Station Khaltsi have a brief introduction to the visiting students and teachers about the working police station on day to day basis.

In another event, Police Post Turtuk organised an awareness campaign on menace of Cyber Crime especially on cyber financial frauds at Government Higher Secondary School, Tyakshi Turtuk Nubra in which various students and teaching faculty members have participated.

During the awareness programme, ICPP Turtuk SI Mehdi Ali have briefed the audience in detail about various Cyber-Social Media crime and Financial Frauds being happening in the Ladakh, understanding of Cybercrime Reporting Portal, Online cybercrime against women and children, cyber impersonation scams.

Further discussed some important matters like avoiding of sharing OTPs, Bank details, ATM details like CVV number as the bank never asked for such credentials and KYCs, further advised the audience neither to accept randomly received friend request from strangers on any of the Social Media Platforms like Facebook, Instagram etc. and never click on randomly received Links/URLs it can wash-off your lifetime earnings and steal your important credentials being stored in the mobile.

Further the students and teachers were informed about online OLX fraud which is very common now a days.
