Leh: A significant breakthrough was made by the patrolling party of Police Station Leh on the afternoon of March 7, 2024.
During a routine inspection, they intercepted a vehicle with registration number DL10CE 2195 ETOS, driven by Tashi Targas, S/O Tundup Tsering, a resident of Khaltsi.
Upon thorough inspection, the police uncovered a substantial quantity of illegal alcohol inside the vehicle. This included 96 canes of Beer (God Father) 500 ml each and 47 bottles of Old Monk Rum 180 ml each.
The discovery prompted the registration of Case FIR No. 40/2024 under Section 48a of the Excise Act.
