Leh Police arrests drug peddler with 120 grms Charas
LEH: District Police Leh continuing its untiring efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, arrested one drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police party of Police Post Housing Colony Leh while conducting random Naka checking at Bombguard Chowk, has apprehended a suspicious person carrying a bag.
Upon checking the bag the police party recovered charas like substance weighing around 120 gms and a digital weighing machine from the possession of the suspicious person namely Arun Thakur S/O Santosh Kumar R/O Ward No. 04 Nanhar, District Kangra Himachal A/P Skalzangling Leh.
In this connection case FIR No 83/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Leh and investigation started.
Efforts to further nab the peddlers are being made, Investigation so far has revealed that this person sell the drugs among the innocent local youths at a very high prices.
District Police Leh time and again requests general public to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers and join hands with Ladakh police in fight against the menace of drugs in the district.
