LBA’s Education Committee calls on Gyalson


LEH: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson was called upon by a delegation comprising the members of Ladakh Buddhist Association’s Education Committee on Friday.

Effective implementation of SEE learning in educational institutions, issues regarding the social security of students, especially women, the need for residential hostels for the students hailing from far-flung regions studying in Leh and its adjacent areas, and several other issues were discussed during the meeting.

The officials also appreciated the initiatives undertaken by LAHDC Leh in strengthening the education sector at various levels.

They also lauded the special initiatives including the Coaching facilities provided for the aspirants of SSC Examinations of Ladakh and the residential coaching programme for UPSC aspirants under the ‘Rewe-Odzer’ scheme.

The CEC took note of all the issues and assured full assistance from the Hill Council, Leh in addressing them.
