Leh: A tripartite MoU was signed between LAHDC Leh, SECI, and Golden Mile Learning, India for conducting Reinforced Teacher Trainings in govt. schools of Leh starting with English language subject.
The signing ceremony was presided over by Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson. He was accompanied by Dy Chairman/EC Education, Tsering Angchuk, EC Minority, Ghulam Mehdi, EC RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, DC/CEO LAHDC Leh, Shrikant Suse, CPO Leh, Officials of School Education Department, Leh led by CEO Leh, Officials of SECI led by GM Projects, Kaustuv Roy, Trainers from Golden-mile Learning, Dr. Neepa Oza, Amol Bapad and Regional head Golden-mile Learning, Rinchen Angmo.
In his address, CEC Tashi Gyalson expressed his gratitude to the supporters and the project implementing partners for assisting Hill Council Leh in conducting the capacity-building training for the teachers. He also spoke about the initiatives being taken by the Hill Council and UT Administration Ladakh in strengthening the govt. schools of Ladakh. CEC Gyalson further added that this initiative would serve effectively in supporting the education systems of Ladakh to a larger extent.
Dy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk highlighted that the professionals engaged in the training program are well qualified and experienced. He added that the Hill Council, Leh has decided to sign the MoU after a proper examination and the feedback received from the pilot project that happened in June this year.
Trainer, Dr. Neepa also shared her views on the training program. She stated that teaching is a noble profession and the teachers need approach methodologies for shaping a bright future for the students. She also spoke about using innovative mechanisms during personnel development training and further expressed her gratitude to the Hill Council, Leh, and the supporting partner SECI.
