Leh: The first ever Ladakh Screenwriters Fair this morning commenced with an inaugural ceremony.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp by Commissioner Secretary to the Administration of Ladakh Padma Angmo along with Anupama Chopra who is an Indian author, journalist, film critic. She is also the founder and editor of the digital platform Film Companion which is organising this worshop in collaboration with Ladakh Administration.

The Joint Director of Ladakh Information Department Imteeaz Kacho, renowned actor from Ladakh Phuntsog Ladakhi, Expert Satyanshu Singh and film director Shakun Batra was also present during the ceremony.
The Lt. Governor of Ladakh, RK also took part in the event virtually and addressed the gathering.
Addressing the opening ceremony, commissioner secretary Padma Angmo said that creativity doesn’t have any language barrier. She urged the participants to make the best use of the 5-day workshop by learning from the film industry stalwarts present.
As per reports, around 20 trainees across Ladakh will attend this 5-day workshop starting today.
