A major recruitment drive for the posts of Sub-Inspectors and Constables will soon be initiated by Ladakh Police in the Union Territory of Ladakh. According to a press release issued by the Police Headquarters in Agling, the official notification for the recruitment process will be released shortly.
The recruitment process will include multiple stages to ensure the selection of suitable candidates. The first stage will be the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates who qualify in the physical test will then appear for the written examination. Those who successfully clear both stages will undergo police verification as per the prescribed procedure.
To help aspirants prepare for the recruitment process, Ladakh Police will also organize orientation programmes in both districts of the Union Territory—Leh and Kargil. These programmes aim to guide candidates about the recruitment standards, procedures, and preparation strategies.
The orientation sessions will include practice sessions for the Physical Efficiency Test as well as guidance and orientation for the written examination. The initiative is intended to help candidates better understand the requirements and improve their readiness for the selection process.
Youth from across Ladakh have been encouraged to participate in large numbers and take advantage of the opportunity to join the police force and serve the Union Territory.
Interested candidates who wish to participate in the orientation camps can register through the official contact details provided by Ladakh Police. Further information regarding the recruitment notification and the schedule for orientation programmes will be communicated through official Ladakh Police channels.
The press release was issued by the Police Headquarters, Union Territory of Ladakh, on March 12, 2026.
