Ladakh police issues traffic advisory for May 10, 11

KARGIL: The authorities on Tuesday issued Traffic advisory for SSG (Zojila) road on 10th to 11th May 2023, Zanskar (Penzila) and Padum-Darcha (Shinkula) roads dated on 10th May 2023 (Wednesday).

Kargil- Srinagar (SSG) Road:
In view of clearance work of avalanche accumulations and widening along the Sonamarg- Minamarg stretch of Zojila axis owing to fresh snowfall & Avalanches, 10th and 11th May 2023 would be observed as traffic dry days. Hence there shall be strictly no any movement on Zojila axis from either side on 10th and 11th May 2023 respectively.

Kargil-Zanskar (Penzila) Road:
Due to fresh snow accumulations over Penzila axis, There shall be no any movements on Penzila axis from either side on 10th May 2023 & untill the road is cleared by the concerned authority.

Padum Darcha (Shinkula) Road:
Due to fresh snow accumulation and avalanches over Shinkula axis, There shall be no any movements on Shinkula axis from either side on 10th May 2023 and untill the road is cleared by the concerned authority.
