Leh: One person while other four sustained serious injuries as their vehicle plunges into deep gorge near Khardungla in Union Territory of Ladakh.

As per reports, the deceased and other victims were travelling in Thar. “The driver lost control over the vehicle due which the same was plunges into gorge near KhardungLa,” the reports said.
Receiving information, Member of Parliament, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal coordinated with Army, Leh police and Border Road Organisation (BRO) to launch rescue operation. “After rescue operation, the injured were evacuated,” the reports said.
Moreover, the authorities have closed Leh-Nubra Road following inclement weather condition.
Earlier, Leh Police has asked commuters to avoid travelling to khardungla Pass, Changla pass and other upper reaches roads.
As per reports, the upper reaches in the Union Territory of Ladakh has received heavy snowfall.
Following heavy snowfall Leh police ask travellers not to travel khardungla Pass, Changla pass and other upper reaches to avoid accidents.
The police also recommended tyre chains for vehicles and even for 4×4 vehicles.
