Kargil’s brightest minds embark on National Science Quest


Kargil: In an inspiring display of academic excellence, Kaneez Fatima and Hafizullah Najafi from Kargil district have been officially dispatched to partake in the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) National Camp 2024 (India’s Largest Science Talent Search Examination) at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal.

They are accompanied by the dedicated escort teacher, Miss Nazrun Nissa. The send-off was conducted at the PM Shri Govt Model High School, Langkore, Kargil, with the presence of the Principal, Badrun Nissa, VVM Coordinator (VIBHA), Mohd Hussain, and Hojjatul Islam Jinab Sheikh Mohd Baqir Najafi (Parent of a National Participant).

The school staff collectively flagged off the students amidst the recitation of the “Dua-e-Safar” and extended their best wishes.

The champions were the top performers at the VVM State Level Camp held on 3rd December 2023 at EJM Degree College, Leh. Out of the 120 participants at SLC, 12 students were selected for the national camp from Ladakh, two hail from Kargil, and ten from Leh.

The journey begins on 16th May 2024 from Leh, with an expected arrival at (IISER) Bhopal by evening.

The VVM National Camp, scheduled for the 18th and 19th of May 2024, promises to be a crucible of innovation and learning. Post-camp, the students will return to Ladakh, enriched with experience and knowledge.

We wish all participants success and anticipate their outstanding performance at the national level, which will undoubtedly bring pride to Ladakh.
