Kargil Sentinel Brigade, DYS&S commemorate Yom-e-Fateh Platinum Jubilee

KARGIL: Kargil Sentinel Brigade, in collaboration with the District Youth Services and Sports Office Kargil, organized the Yom-e-Fateh Platinum Jubilee event remarking the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of Kargil by the Indian Army.

The event was graced by the presence of Deputy Superintendent of Police DAR (District Armed Reserved) Stanzin Dorjey, who presided as the chief guest.

The guest of honour, DYSSO Kargil Abid Ali. The commemorative occasion witnessed a spirited archery competition, underscoring the resilience and triumph of the community.

A total of 40 skilled archers participated in the event, showcasing their precision and prowess on the archery range.

After an intense competition, 16 archers emerged as the best among their peers, qualifying for the prestigious title of the “Best 16 Archers.”

These accomplished athletes were duly honored with certificates and medals, recognizing their exceptional skill and dedication to the sport.

The archery competition featured distinct categories, with a 50-meter range for male participants and a 30-meter range for their female counterparts.

The event was aimed to provide equal opportunities for athletes of all genders, promoting a sense of unity and shared achievement.
