KARGIL: District police Kargil and Border Road Organization (BRO) rescued six persons who were trapped under an avalanche at Minamarg area Sunday.
As per the reports, six persons along with their vehicles got trapped in an avalanche. Acting swiftly after the incident in Minamarg area of Kargil district, the Police and BRO personnel swung into action and rescued and saved the precious lives.
Superintendent of Police, Kargil Anayat Ali Chowdhary informed about rescuing of six persons and recovering their vehicle trapped under an avalanche.
“Service before self Swift action by Kargil Police and BRO deployed at Minamarg and safely rescued 6 persons trapped and vehicles being recovered from the huge avalanche at Shaitan Nallah, Zojila,” Superintendent of Police, Kargil Anayat Ali Chowdhary wrote on his Twitter handle.
DC Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve appreciated the BRO and Kargil Police and said that their swiftness, dedication and professionalism ensured safe rescue of 6 persons.
