KARGIL: The 5th District Kargil Open Karate Championship 2023 concluded at Indoor Stadium Kargil. Director Physical Education Department, Government Degree College Kargil, Akhone Mustu attends the closing event as the Chief Guest.

Kargil Karate Association (KKA) under the leadership of Sensei Hassan Khan (Member SGI, Founder of SGI Doju Kargil), in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services & Sports Kargil organized two days District level Open Karate Championship at Indoor Stadium Kargil.

In the concluding ceremony, The Director Physical Education Department, Government Degree College Kargil, Akhone Mustu graced the occasion.

Mohammad Yousuf I/c Activities, senior most PEM of Youth Services and Sports Department Kargil graced the occasion as the guest of honour. Director Physical Education Department, GDC Kargil, Akhone Mustu appreciated the Kargil Karate Association for their hard work and efforts to promote Karate in Kargil for the last twenty-three years.

The Director Physical Education Department GDC Kargil assured full cooperation and support for KKA in the coming future.

He appraised the Medallist Black belt Male and Female Karate Athletes of Ladakh Karate Association for their achievement in the India Open International Karate Championship held at New Delhi.

He also appraised the efforts of Sensei Hassan Khan for implementing Karate at the grass root level in the district.

“The effort of Chief Instructor Sensei Hassan Khan is giving fruits and it will definitely boost the real talent of Karatekas and shall give opportunities to perform at State, National and International platforms,” President LKA Said.

Moreover, 25 Male, 27 Female Karatekas from different Govt/.Pvt. Schools of Kargil participated in the most awaited Championship this year. In this championship, 21 Karatekas got Gold Medals, 12 Karatekas got Silver Medals and 8 Karatekas grabed Bronze Madals.

The KKA is going to participate in the 1st Ladakh State Karate Championship 2023 which will be held in LEH at UT level. At last Kargil Karate Association appreciated and thanked all the Guests, supporters, sponsors for making the event successful.
