Kargil, November 13: A Special Training Program was organized today at the Conference Hall, Baroo, for Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), Booth Level Officer (BLO) Supervisors, and Data Entry Operators (DEOs) of Kargil district to enhance their proficiency in handling various election-related applications.
The program, conducted under the supervision of the District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Kargil, forms part of the preparatory measures for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll 2025.
Master Trainer Mohd Amin led the session, offering comprehensive demonstrations on Form Verification, ECI NET, AERO/ERO Mapping, BLO Mapping, Voter Helpline App (VHA), and eci.net. He emphasized maintaining accuracy, transparency, and efficiency to ensure a credible electoral roll.
Mr. Amin underscored that accurate voter data forms the foundation of free and fair elections, warning that any negligence by BLOs would invite strict disciplinary action. The training also focused on the verification of married female voters, inclusion of newly eligible voters, and removal of deceased individuals from the rolls.
BLO Supervisors were urged to foster close coordination with BLOs and uphold courteous conduct during field duties to strengthen public trust in the electoral process.
The session concluded with hands-on exercises, group discussions, and an interactive Q&A, where participants expressed confidence in applying the training during the upcoming SIR 2025.
