Kargil: Despite biting cold and sub-zero temperature in Kargil, 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution Day was celebrated on 11 February at Sankoo, Kargil.
On the 10th February the Mosques, Imam Bargah and roof of residential houses with illumination and brightness to commemorate the 44th anniversary of the Islamic revolution.
The celebration on 10th February mark the victory of the 1979 Islamic revolution Led by Ayatullah Imam Khomeni (R.A) which put an end to the monarchical rule of the US backed Pahlavi regime this was also a day of paying tribute to those who sacrifice their lives during the revolution.
The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran from exile (Feb 1, 1979) marks the beginning of the Ten-Day Dawn in ceremonies which culminate with the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11.
An impressive rally and congregation were witnessed today at Sankoo, organized by Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman Kargil.
During the rally thousands of men, women and children were holding Iranian, Indian and Palestinian flags and raised slogans in favour of Iran and its supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
Several rallies started from several villages early this morning with extremely cold weather and poured at Jamiya Masjid Sanjoo.
Aga Syed Jaffer Rizvi, Aga Syed Abass Rizvi Sankoo, Aga Syed Muslim,Sheikh Murtaza Ansari, and other religious scholars were also present on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, religious scholars spoke of the victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (R.A).
The 45th of Islamic Revolution day was also observed at Sankoo, Taisuru Suru, GMpore, Treasone, Saliskote.
